Wirrimbirra Sanctuary - Reptile Day

 

 

REPTILE DAY 2012

There will be crocodiles, pythons, geckos! 
Experience some close encounters of the slithery and scaly kind!
 
Join “Crocodile Encounters” at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm, for their hands-on shows for young and old. 
 
Macarthur Herpetological Society will have a live animal display and will answer all your questions about keeping reptiles as pets. 
 
“Derks on Argyle” will provide all kinds of reptile supplies and information. 
 
Volunteers from Wollondilly WIRES will be on hand. There’ll also be displays of magnificent wildlife photography.
 
Meet Wirrimbirra’s beautiful bearded dragons, “Wal” and “Dilly”.  Wander through the Wildlife Walk for just a gold coin, to see kangaroos, wallabies, emus, wombats, and the free-flight aviary with its beautiful inhabitants. 
  
This fun and educational day is on Sunday 26th February, between 10am and 3pm, at Wirrimbirra Sanctuary, 3105 Remembrance Drive, Bargo – about half-way between Bargo and Tahmoor. Hot and cold food and drinks will be available all day, and there are plenty of picnic tables.
 
Wirrimbirra is a National Trust (NSW) property, and is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Entry is free, but your donation as you arrive will be greatly appreciated and will assist in the ongoing work of the Sanctuary.
