Macarthur Baseball Sydney Major League Opening Night

 

 

Macarthur Baseball Sydney Major League Opening Night is on Saturday 11th September, with the fun starting at 9:30am with the 18s and running all day with 1st Grade at 6pm.

The fun activities on the day include:

  • Fairy Floss
  • Balloon Artists
  • Spectacular Fireworks Show
  • Macarthur Orioles' Mascot will arive by helicopter and name on the evening

  • Prizes
  • Auctions
  • Plus band 'Beattie in the Background' perform live!

Plenty of food and beverages with Outback Steakhouse as well.

There are camping sites available if you wish to stay the Friday night for just $40 per site, which also includes a BBQ breakfast on the Saturday morning.

**About Beattie in the Background:

19yr old mates Owen, Jordan & G make up 'Beattie in the Background' playing original music influenced by bands such as Blink-182, The Getaway Plan, & Japandriods.

 
This Indie Rock 3 piece from Sydney have been dominating the all ages music scene in Sydney of  late, having taken out the top spot for the Noisy By Choice music concert in Burwood in September 2009 and The Annandale Hotel All Ages Rock n Roll Competition in Mid-November.
 
The band's debut EP was recently released, having been recorded and produced by Shane Fahey, of Megaphon Studios. Shane says of the band "They are able to clearly and coherently perform their songs. Their songs musically are layered and complex and the structure of their songs is original".
 
The band are taking every opportunity to play live, to get their music out there, and to build a loyal following as they continue to write and record new material.
