Dilly residents to pay stormwater levy

WOLLONDILLY Council has added a storm water levy to local resident's and businesses rates to help improve local waterways.

The funding will go towards improving storm water runoff which constantly cause problems for residents in heavy downpours.

Local residents are being urged to help minimise water pollution in the area by things such as picking up dog droppings and disposing of them correctly, washing the car on the grass and preventing dirt from entering drains.

Planning is now underway to stop flooding in areas such as BUXTON with construction expected to begin in the coming months.
