Woman suffers acid burns

 

A woman has been transferred to hospital following a nitric acid spill in Wattle Grove this afternoon.

 

The incident occurred just after midday at an address on Australis Avenue.

 

The 50-year-old has suffered burns to her arms and legs after 200 mls of the acid spilled accidentally.

 

HAZMAT crews have now deemed the area safe.
