Charity Motorcycle RIDE AROUND AUSTRALIA
The biggest event staged so far is this year’s Ride Around Australia.
At the request of Steven Walter, a motorcycling enthusiast and Enduro champion, who lost his seven year battle with cancer at the age of nineteen, the Steven Walter Foundation was set up to involve motorcyclists in a series of fund raising events “so no other kid have to go through what Steven went through.”
More than fifty five motorbikes will leave Tenterfield on October 4, and, nearly 15,000 kilometres and 32 days later, will arrive in Thredbo on the 6th of November.
Each rider must raise a minimum of $2500 to be eligible to ride.Every cent raised will go to the Steven Walter Foundation. All participants will pay their own expenses.
If you would like to play a part in reducing, and hopefully one day eliminating, childhood deaths caused by cancer please log on to www.snowyride.com.au, open the donation page and fill out your details, typing Michael into the “Donated on behalf of..” box.
