Girl charged with punching bus driver

A teenage girl has been charged with assaulting a bus driver at Ingleburn.

She was part of a group who refused to pay when they got on the bus at Minto Train Station early Friday morning, and then began to abuse and intimidate the 64-year-old male driver.

The man drove to his next stop at Ingleburn Train Station where the group began to get off.

One of the females then allegedly assaulted the driver, punching him at least 30 times. He was treated at the scene for facial injuries.

Police arrested the 17-year-old girl a short time later in the Ingleburn CBD.

She's been charged and granted condition bail to appear at Campbelltown Children's Court on June 3.
