Less locals using public transport
A new report has been released, suggesting Wollongong is lagging behind when it comes to catching public transport.
The NSW 2021 Policy says the number of peak-hour trips in and out of the Wollongong CBD should increase by 15% over the next three years.
However stats shows only 8.5% of trips during peak hours are made using buses and trains.
The government says it's investing in services like the new timetable and Opal Card to improve the use of public transport.
