Des Campbell Sentenced to 24 Years
Former New South Wales policeman Des Campbell has been jailed for at least 24 years for murdering his new wife by pushing her off a cliff.
Justice Megan Latham has set a maximum of 33 years for the 52-year-old .. in the NSW Supreme Court earlier this afternoon.
In May .. a jury found Campbell guilty of pushing 49 year-old Janet Campbell off a cliff during a camping trip in the Royal National park .. in 2005.
Dressed in prison greens Campbell showed no emotion at the sentence.... which was handed down in a packed courtroom.
