Invetigation continues into paramedic’s death
A preliminary report has found there were no faults with the helicopter or its winch used in an operation on the South Coast on Christmas Eve where an experienced paramedic lost his life.
41-year-old Mick Wilson was being winched to an injured canyoner in Carrington Falls when both men fell, fatally injuring Mr Wilson.
An ATSB investigation is continuing, but has ruled that the helicopter and winch did not play a part in the accident.
